Pelaw Grange Stadium has been family owned by the McKennas since 1965 and is now run by Jeff and his wife Theresa. Formerly a successful independent track it is the latest track to join the NGRC and was licenced in August 2005.

Pelaw Grange is ideally located in a central and easily accessible area about 1 mile from the A1M, halfway between Durham City and Newcastle Upon Tyne. Leave the A1Motorway at junction 63, Chester-le-Street (just North of Durham City/South of Washington Services). Follow the A693 towards Stanley, then the A167 towards Birtley. Pelaw Grange Stadium is situated in the Drum Industrial Estate, just before Birtley.
