Maghull Novices Chase
 A Brief History Of Maghull Novices Chase The Maghull Novices' Chase is a Grade 1 National Hunt chase for five-year-old and above novices run over a distance of 2 miles (3,219 metres) at Aintree Racecourse during the Grand National meeting in early April. There are twelve fences to be jumped in the race. It is often contested by horses which ran previously in the Arkle Challenge Trophy.
