 A Brief History Of Anniversary 4-Y-O Novices Hurdle The Anniversary 4-Y-O Novices' Hurdle is a Grade 1 National Hunt hurdle race for four-year-old novices run over a distance of 2 miles 110 yards (3,319 metres) at Aintree Racecourse during the Grand National meeting in early April. There are nine hurdles to be jumped in the race. It was first run as a Grade 1 in 2005, prior to which it was classed as a Grade 2.
