A Brief History Of Predominate Stakes
The Predominate Stakes is a Listed flat horse race for three-year-old thoroughbred colts and geldings run over a distance of 1 mile 3 furlongs (2,213 metres) at Goodwood Racecourse in May.

The race was first run in 1970 and adopted its present name ten years later, named after the horse Predominate, winner of the Goodwood Cup in 1961.
