The home of the FIA F1 British Grand Prix, this former wartime airfield circuit can boast to being one of the world's foremost motor sport venues, with several track configurations. Hosted the first ever round of the F1 World Championship in 1948, and over the years has developed to meet the needs of the modern sporting era. Held the British Motorcycle Grand Prix for a decade when it switched to the mainland from the Isle of Man and currently stages a round of the World Superbike Championship in addition to the domestic series. Silverstone Circuit is located off the A43 in Silverstone village, between Towcester and Brackley. Travellers using the M1 motorway should use Junction 15A, taking the A43, while those using the M40 motorway need to exit at Junction 10.
