Welcome To Cartmel Racecourse Cartmel is a delightful Jumps course set in the beautiful scenery of the Lake District. There are 6 days of racing over the Spring and August Bank Holidays, as well as a barbecue raceday in July. It is well worth planning a holiday to coincide. Travel Information Local Transport Links By Road Take the M6 and exit Junction 36 for the A590 towards Barrow-in-Furness and follow signs from Lindale roundabout. From the north east, take the A69. By Rail From London Euston to Carke in Cartmel and Grange-over-Sands. Cartmel Racecourse Enclosures And Grandstands Paddock Tickets: £17 Food And Drink Chasers Restaurant serves a 3 course buffet luncheon as well as afternoon teas/ coffee . There is also the Champagne & Seafood Bar and the Whisky and Wine Bar serving wines and spirits plus a Pimms tent and snack bar providing tea, coffee and baguettes. Viewing There is uncovered viewing from the stand as well as access to the Parade Ring. If you get here early enough, you can also park your car next to the rail to get a good view of the action. Dress Course Tickets: £8 Food And Drink Inside the Course Enclosure there is a public bar and various fast food outlets. There is also plenty of space for a picnic or you can use one of the specially built BBQ areas. Viewing Situated on the opposite side of the finishing straight from the paddock there is no grandstand. However there is plenty of areas where you can get a great trackside view. This Enclosure is also home to the fairground, trade stands and market stalls. You can't access the Parade Ring or Winner's Enclosure from this Enclosure. Dress |
