Welcome To Pontefract Racecourse Pontefract has sixteen days racing between April and October, including three evenings and three Sundays. There are modern bars and refreshment areas in all Enclosures and the racing programme has been greatly improved in recent years with the result that the racing is both competitive and entertaining. |

Travel Information Local Transport Links By Road The course adjoins Junction 32 on the M62. Leeds is nine miles to the west and the A1, M1 and M18 are all within ten miles of the course. By Rail There are 3 train stations in Pontefract - Baghill, Monkhill and Tanshelf. Doncaster, York and Leeds stations are also fairly close by. Pontefract Racecourse Facilities Betting There are Tote and betting facilities around the course Parking There is plenty of free parking. Children Children 16 and under get free entry when accompanied by an adult. Pontefract Racecourse Enclosures And Grandstands Club Tickets: £16 Food And Drink There are 4 bars offering food and drink as well as two restaurants with views over the Parade Ring on one side and the Winning Post on the other. Viewing From the grandstand you get the best view of the Winning Post as well as views of the Parade Ring and Winner’s Enclosure. Dress Smart dress required. No denim jeans, sportswear, trainers or shorts. Paddock Tickets: £11 Food And Drink There are 5 bars which offer snacks and a self service restaurant. Viewing Right next to the Club Enclosure the stand is close to the Winning Post and has views across the rest of the course.
